Before you register
Click here to review our Code of Conduct for the event. Links to the Code of Conduct and Liability waiver are also located on the registration page. You MUST acknowledge and agree to the waivers in order to participate. There will be no exceptions. Now that we have that out of the way... Follow the link below to register for the 2026 Championship. Jersey Shore is excited to have you all come visit! But before you race to click that link, here’s a few things you should know:
- Registration will be limited. So read through all of this, but otherwise don’t delay!
- Payment will be due at the time you register. We also have payment plans available. Details are in the registration link.
- Our souvenir giveaway this year will be either a tee shirt OR a beach towel. You’ll be able to select on the registration form either option. If you register before March 1, you’ll get both!
- We had reserved a block of rooms at the Empress Hotel in Asbury Park, about a ten minute walk from our theater. At this point, nearly all rooms within the block at the $189/night rate have been taken. The Empress is a small hotel and we were very lucky that they were willing to work with us to offer 70% of their rooms at this rate during the height of their season, and during the World Cup. Other hotels that are walkable are more expensive, and the hotels further away are not walkable to the theater. We strongly recommend securing lodging prior to registering, whether through another hotel, an AirBNB, or bunking in with someone who already has a room at the Empress.
- We are in an oceanside town, so there are other lodging options, especially through AirBNB and the like. We’d encourage you to look at those types of alternatives as well; it wouldn’t be surprising to share a larger house with multiple bedrooms and be below the cost of some of the other hotels in the area (you’ll see why in a minute). As far as location, anything in Ocean Grove is great and pretty walkable. If you find something in Asbury Park, Neptune, or a surrounding town, feel free to check with CSz Jersey Shore player Mel Gallagher if you’d like any hyper local guidance before you book (she’s in our Facebook group, or you can call or text her at 848-459-6716). I’d also encourage you to book sooner rather than later, as availability dries up rapidly as we get closer to summer.
-
It’s summertime at the shore. And the World Cup is happening just over an hour away. So unfortunately hotel rates reflect that. Regardless, other hotels in the area include:
- The Berkeley. Close by (three blocks from Empress), but super expensive. Rates using the promo code “EVENT” range from $223/night (M/T/W) up to $527 for that hot Saturday night. You can also enter “COMEDYSPORTZ” in the comments section of the registration for a complimentary upgrade.
- Asbury Hotel. Similar to The Berkeley from a pricing standpoint, only two blocks further up the beach.
- Residence Inn , Ocean Township. Average nightly rate of $274, breakfast included. Not including AirBNBs, this seems to be the most cost-effective non-Empress option.
- Ocean Place, Long Branch. Fifteen minute drive to and from this hotel each day, but rates are reasonable on weekdays.
- We will be using Slack for our communications during Championship. Slack gives us the ability to consolidate all communication in one platform. Upon registering, you’ll be invited to two Slack channels: General Discussion (for exactly what it sounds like, all general discussion), and Announcements (where we’ll post any daily announcements or other critical / time sensitive items). More channels will be rolled out as we get closer.
- Jersey Shore is easily accessible from multiple points. Newark Airport (EWR) is your best bet, especially if you’re planning on Ubering or Lyfting or driving from there to the theater/hotel. Philadelphia is also not a bad option for that. If you fly into LaGuardia or JFK, you’ll likely want to use the subway and trains to get from there to us. As always, if you have questions on navigation, or anything else, just reach out to us at register@cszworldchampionship.com.
- Should we see if I can get to 185 items on this list?
- No? Okay, then go register!
